Tamil Nadu state government offers a wide range of scholarships through the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, BC/MBC Welfare Department, and other bodies.
For students belonging to Backward Classes (BC) and Most Backward Classes (MBC). Covers tuition fee reimbursement and maintenance allowance.
For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students. Full fee reimbursement plus book grant and maintenance allowance through the Adi Dravidar & Tribal Welfare Dept.
For students from minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Zoroastrian) under Tamil Nadu Minorities Welfare Department.
Awarded to girl students excelling in academics under Tamil Nadu’s “Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam” and related welfare schemes.
For children/dependents of defence personnel (ex-servicemen / serving jawans) from Tamil Nadu. Administered by the Sainik Welfare Board.
For students with disabilities under the Tamil Nadu Differently Abled Welfare Dept. Full fee waiver plus special assistance allowance.
Apply through the National Scholarship Portal (scholarships.gov.in) for central government schemes.
Under Ministry of Minority Affairs for Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain & Parsi students. ₹10,000/year for freshers, ₹20,000 for renewal students at professional level.
Meritorious students who scored above 80th percentile in Class XII board exams and annual family income <₹8 lakh.
Under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment for Other Backward Classes students pursuing higher education.
All central scholarships are applied through scholarships.gov.in. The college Scholarship Cell helps students register, track and submit renewal requests every academic year.

Awarded to department toppers (Rank 1 in each programme) each semester. Waiver on special fees and a certificate of excellence.
For students who represent the college, university or state in inter-collegiate / national sports events. Covers special fee waiver and sports kit allowance.
Discretionary financial assistance for students facing acute financial hardship. Applications considered by the Principal’s office on a case-by-case basis.
University-level merit scholarships for Rank 1–3 holders at the university examinations. Certificates and cash awards distributed at the University convocation.
Follow these steps every academic year to claim your scholarship. The college Scholarship Cell is available to guide you at each step.
Create your account on scholarships.gov.in (for central schemes) or tamilnaduscholarship.gov.in (for state schemes) in July–August.
Gather community certificate, income certificate, bank passbook, Aadhaar, bonafide certificate, mark sheets and passport photo.
Fill the portal application form, upload scanned documents and submit before the deadline (usually October 31 for most schemes).
Submit your application ID to the college Scholarship Cell. The college verifies and forwards your application to the concerned department.
Track status on the portal. Renew every year before the deadline by uploading your latest mark sheets and income certificate.
Keep these documents ready in both original and photocopy (self-attested) for scholarship applications.
